DIY I Do Crew Bridal Party TShirts

To go with our adorable I Do Crew Tumblers, I made some corresponding decals to use on shirts and other wearables! The shirts are great not only as Bridesmaid Proposals, but also for any pre-wedding events especially ones where you may have a large support group but not necessarily everyone is in the bridal party. These would be perfect to make, for example, to give to people going wedding dress shopping with you!

 I made the “I Do Crew” decals on Mermaid Blue Glitter HTV and I made the Bride decal out of Gold Foil HTV and I love the color combination!

TShirt Design Cut Files

---

1. After downloading the cut files, import them into the Cricut Software. After creating a new project, select Upload Image. Select the file you wish to upload and it will automatically take you to the final upload screen, where you can name the file the select Save. The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so to fit the tank tops the way you like.

2. After selecting “Make It” Make sure to select the Mirror Mode on the cutting screen. Cut the design in your choice of heat transfer vinyl with the Iron On (for Easyweed Vinyl) or Iron On+ (for Glitter Vinyl) Setting on your Cricut, with the shiny side of the material down.

3. Weed the additional material off of the backing material so that, looking down with the shiny side up, you can see your design with the correct orientation.

4. Iron your tshirt or tank top to remove any creases, then center the design over the top half of the tank top. Arrange the design shiny side up, then cover with parchment paper. Make sure to keep the parchment paper between the design and the iron.

5. Set your Iron to the second Highest setting and press the iron down firmly on the design, not ironing but rather using it as a small heat press. I worked from the upper left to lower right on the design, pressing the iron on each part of the design for at least 20-30 seconds, then overlapping the last position as you move the iron across the design.

6. Remove the backing from the design, leaving the design on the fabric. Repeat with all remaining tshirts.

DIY Poppin Bottles Bachelorette Tank Tops

If you are your girls are ready to celebrate your engagement, champagne style, these Poppin’ Bottles Bachelorette Tank Tops are the perfect accessory for your crew! I’m always a fan of bachelorette parties matching, and these black and gold sparkly tank tops are a great choice for a bar crawl or any party hard bachelorette party. I also love the idea of having a New Years Eve Bachelorette, which would go amazingly with these tops as well!

For these designs, I used two different fonts, Philosophy and Generica, which are both available for free for both personal and professional use from DaFont.com! I did have to do some stretching on the Generica Font to give it some height for the decal design though, so keep that in mind if you are designing for other projects.

For the Tank Tops, I used a Black Tank top with Old Gold Glitter HTV and I love how they turned out! I was a little worried on how such a thin font would do with weeding and cutting, but I had no problems at all. In fact, it turned out that the entire design was very easy to weed and transfer in general, so its a great project for beginners or masters alike! also easy designs for those who are still beginners to the HTV world.

Pop Fizz Clink Bachelorette Tote Bags

It's the first day of December, so it's time to pop some bottles in honor of the holidays or maybe this crazy year being almost over! In that spirit, there’s no better way to end 2020 than with a fun champagne inspired DIY Tote Bag Project. Group Tote Bags for all your ladies to keep their belongings in are a great addition to any Bachelorette Party. I love these Tote Bags not only for Bachelorette Parties, but also for any New Years bar crawl or casual party!

For my totes, I used Old Gold Glitter HTV for the decal on a plain black tote bag and I absolutely love how it turned out!  The only parts of the design that had any trouble weeding were some of the smaller bits of the bubble outlines, but mainly just me remembering they were there and to remove them rather than it being hard to weed. This super fun design goes with any bachelorette or champagne poppin celebration and is an easy project for people who are new to Iron on Transfer Projects. :)

DIY Pressed Flower Wall Candles

To finish up my Candle DIY Posts for the week, I saved my favorite for last! A couple months ago I ordered a whole slew of different pressed flowers, and when this idea came to me I had to make it happen!  I love the look of colorful pressed flowers and, with so many floral candle scents out there, having a Pressed Flower Candle was the perfect feminine way to display their pretty patterns and they came out even better than I could have hoped! These beautiful pressed flower candles were surprisingly super easy to make and are the perfect choice to DIY for holiday gifts, bridesmaid proposals, or bridal shower and baby shower prizes! 

While you can certainly press your own flowers for this project, I bought a whole selection of them for different Pressed Flower DIY Projects from the Etsy Shop My Love Meadow, and they were the perfect choice for me! They have a variety of different pressed flowers that change based on what they have currently, and all the ones I received were both affordable and perfect for all my projects, so I would highly recommend them if you don’t want to press flowers yourself! I used Blue Larkspur Delphinium Flowers for one of my candles and a beautiful set of Multicolored Pansies for my other Candles, which the shop was nice enough to include as a bonus with my other flowers!

For these fun floral candles, I wanted a light floral scent so I went with a mix of jasmine and lemongrass and they came out smelling and looking gardentastic! I loved the colorful flowers against the natural color of the wax, so I chose not to dye it like I did for my  Wooden Wick Candles and Color Striped Candles, but I bet they would look beautiful in different pastel colors too!

Supplies:
- Soy Wax and Cotton Wicks
- Lidded Candle Jars or Glass Candle Jars
- Candle Pouring Pot
- Candle Dye
- Fragrance Oils or Essential Oils
- Pressed Flowers
- Paintbrush and Bowl of Water
- Silicone Whisk or Spatula
- Hot Plate or Burner

1. Start by weighing out your candle wax for the candles you wish to make into your pot or candle pouring pot. I used 16 oz per for each candle, the full volume of the jars I used, so that I had a little extra wax to work with and top them with at the end. For the bits of extra wax I used in these projects I made myself a couple of little candle in favor jars to burn in my office! You can make up to four candles if you are using a melting pot like I am, but I liked melting 16 oz at once so I could color and scent each candle uniquely, which is super fun for personalizing them for your friends, bridesmaids, or yourself!

2. Now, prep your jars with the dried flowers. Using a paint brush with water, paint the inside of your jar to create a wet layer to attach the dried flowers to. Using tweezers with the jar on its side, lay the flowers in the design you want inside the jar, using the water to adhere them to the side. Once complete, position your jars upright with their lids removed and prepare the wax.

3. Melt the wax over medium low heat until the wax is 150 F. In this case, I didn’t want to add any dyes to my waxing prior to adding fragrance, because I wanted the dried flowers to be the central focus, but if you want to add dyes, follow the wax dying steps in our Wooden Wick Candles post to see how! 

Add the fragrance or essential oil of your choice to the melted wax, continuously stirring with a silicone whisk or spatula to bond the fragrance The fragrance I chose for my candles were:

Per 16 oz of Wax:

Jasmine Essential Oil - 15-20 drops
Lemongrass Essential Oil - 7-10 drops

Continue to stir to cool the wax. When it has cooled to about 120 F, it is ready to pour into the jars.

4. While the wax is cooling, prepare your wicks and jars. Taking a cotton wick, dip the stand end into the melted wax and place into the candle jar, using the wax to seal it to the bottom of the jar. Once the wicks are dry, thread the wick through the metal centering device (or a little piece of cardstock with a hole) to secure it in place for wax pouring. Once the wicks are dry, use your candle pourer to fill your candles just below the lip of the jar, reserving any extra wax to finish the candle. Now let the candle cool completely.

5. Once the candle is cooled, check the top to see if there are any divots or imperfections in the top of the candle, which can happen during cooling. If needed, remelt the remaining wax to 120 F and “top off” any imperfections on the top of the candle, again allowing it to cool completely. Trim the wooden wick with nail clippers, cuticle cutters, or small scissors and you’re done!

DIY Color Striped Soy Wax Candle

I absolutely love candles as Bridal Shower Favors, so in addition to the Wooden Wick Candles that I made for my bestie’s Bridal Shower, I wanted to experiment with other candle making ideas so that guests had a variety of different candle prizes to choose from. An idea I’ve had for a while that I’ve always been too nervous to try was to make candles with different stripes of colors, and this was the perfect opportunity to try it. So I took out my Candle Dyes and made my first attempt at Color Striped Candles, and they turned out to be way easier and cuter than I could have imagined! 

While they may look difficult, in reality they consist of nothing more than heating the candle wax to color it, then letting it cool, and remelting and scenting it based on what colored stripe you are doing. The hardest part of this project was merely storing the wax after it was colored, which I used my set of Rectangular Soap Molds for, and it actually was the perfect choice because I could easily store 2-3 oz per cavity and then I had nice little colored blocks to remelt. It’s easiest to complete this project in two sessions, the first to color the wax, then the second once you have all your colors cooled and ready, remelting them and pouring them into candle jars.

For these candles, I made a mix of Rose Color Striped and Lavender Color Striped in two types of candle jars, and they all came out so cute! I would recommend waiting a little longer and making sure each layer is set, so your stripes have nice distinct edges and don’t bleed into each other, which mine did in a couple places! I weighed the wax as I created each stripe to make sure they were all the same width, which I highly recommend; however, if you choose to do this I would also work one candle at a time, letting each layer cool on the scale and then rezeroing and pour the next stripe, some of my crisp lines got messed up because I moved them off the scale to make the next one before they cooled. Next time, I’ll be keeping them on the scale until they are completely poured! 

While a little time consuming to wait for each stripe to solidify, it was well worth it for how cute they turned out! These candles are an easy project as well as a beautiful and unique gift to impress your friends and family with; whether you choose to use them for Bridesmaid Proposals, Holiday Gifts, or Bridal Shower or Baby Prizes!

2.  To create the stripes on these candles, I chose to color and cool the lighter colors of the wax first, measuring out what I needed and then dying the remaining wax in the melting pot darker.

Start by melting all the wax over medium low heat until the wax is between 200-220 F. Once it has reached this temperature, you can add your wax coloring. Start by adding your first round of wax dye, mixing with a silicone whisk until it is completely incorporated. I tried measuring my dye in grams, but I found it easier to add a little at a time and test the color. Check the color of your wax by letting wax dry on the back of a metal spoon, until it has reached the desired shade. For the lightest shade I added just a couple chips of dye, as shown in the photos. For the pink I used a mix of white and cherry red candle dye, while the lavender was made by adding small amounts of the purple dye only.

Once you have your desired light colored shade, pour 2.5-3 oz of melted wax per candle into a separate bowl or silicone mold to cool. I found the perfect thing to use was my Silicone Soap Molds for cooling the wax, each cavity is a little over three ounces so I just poured them mostly full to reserve my wax colors. Depending on the candle jar you want to use, the amount of was you reserve will vary, for my jars I reserved:

Gold Lidded Glass Jar 

- 4 Stripes: 3 oz of wax per stripe
- 5 Stripes: 2.5 oz of wax per stripe

Glass Lidded Jars

 - 5 Stripes: 3 oz of wax per stripe

Now, make your medium shade by adding more candle dye to the melting pot, adding another 1-2 small chips of the wax coloring. Once you have reached the desired mid colored shade, pour 5-6 oz of wax per candle into a separate bowl or silicone mold to cool, just like the light colored wax. You’ll notice you reserve twice the amount of wax for these candles, that’s because you need it for two stripes!

Finally, add a final chip or two of candle dye once more to the remaining wax in the melting pot for your final darkest shade. Remove remaining wax from heat, and you now have the three shades for your striped candles! Let the wax cool in the molds, with the third color either cooling in your candle pourer pot to be scented first and the first stripe of your candle, or pour all the wax into molds and wait for each color to solidify. That makes it easier to choose what colors you want to scent and pour first or to make a rainbow of stripes for your own personalized candles! 

3. While the wax is cooling, prepare your wicks and jars.  Taking a cotton wick, dip the stand end into the melted wax and place into the candle jar, using the wax to seal it to the bottom of the jar. Once the wicks are dry, thread the wick through the metal centering device (or a little piece of cardstock with a hole) to secure it in place for wax pouring. Once the wicks are dry, it's time to pour your candles!

4.  Melt and cool each of your colored waxes to 150 F, add the fragrance or essential oil of your choice, continuously stirring the wax with your whisk to bond the fragrance and continue to cool for pouring. I started with scenting my shades lightest to darkest, so I could use the same whisk to mix all the bowls without changing the colors noticeably in the darker shades. The fragrances I chose for my candles were:

Pink: 
Rose Fragrance - 5 drops per wax color

Lavender: 
Lavender Fragrance Oil - 5 drops per wax color

When the wax has cooled to about 120 F, it is ready to pour into the jars.

5. For each candle, start by placing it on a kitchen scale so that you can measure out your wax by weight. Starting with your darkest shade, use your candle pourer to measure 2.5 - 3 oz of wax into the bottom of each candle jar, creating the first stripe. Reserve the rest of the wax for the top stripe in a separate bowl or mold. 

Once the first stripe has cooled and solidified, reheat the middle shade wax in the melting pot to 150 F, scent it, and cool to 120 F. Using the kitchen scale again, measure 2.5 - 3 oz of wax into each jar, creating the second stripe.

Repeat this process of cooling the candles and reheating the wax to 120 F for the next three stripes, with your lightest color being the third, middle color being the fourth, and darkest color being the top stripes in the candle. Reserve any additional dark colored wax for topping the candles, and let cool completely.

5. Once the candle is cooled, check the top to see if there are any divots or imperfections in the top, which can happen during cooling. If needed, remelt the remaining wax to 120 F and “top off” any imperfections on the top of the candle, again allowing it to cool completely. Trim the wick with nail clippers, cuticle cutters, or small scissors and you’re done!

DIY Wooden Wick Candles

For my own Bridal Shower years ago, my bridesmaids chose wooden wick candles as the prizes for my bridal shower games and I thought it was the best idea ever! For the fall or for just feeling cozy, there is nothing like the sound of a crackling fire and the crackling candles gave that same feel and were a beloved prize by all those lucky enough to win them! As I was deciding what prizes I wanted to give at my best friends shower this November, I knew some Wooden Wick Candles had to be Included!

For my candles, I made one of them a Deep Rose Pink with a Rose and Vanilla Scent for my bestie’s Beauty and the Beast Tea Party Bridal Shower, and the other a light Silver Sage Green with a Cedar, Peppermint, and Lemon Scents for a nice cozy wintertime feel, which I can’t wait to burn myself this holiday season! For these candles, I bought a Candle Dye and Fragrance Set that came with a variety of different color and scent options, while also making use of my Essential Oils Set I bought for my other Spa Themed Projects to scent my Silver Sage Candle, so make sure to check out the scent available in both sets to decide what you want to do for your own candles.

I melted, dyed, and scented each of my candles individually, which I also love for making each candle unique for your recipient. While I’m using my candles for Bridal Shower Prizes and my own personal use, these candles are an easy and fun gift to make for Bridesmaid Proposals, Holiday Gifts, or Baby Shower Prizes too!

These were the first candles I dyed, and while I like their darker colors, my scale wasn’t accurate enough to measure these small amounts of grams accurately! If you also don’t have a scale that can measure 1-5 g, I’d recommend adding the dye a few chips at a time and checking the color until it reaches the right shade, which is how I did the rest of my Candle Projects.

3. Let the wax cool to 150 F and then add the fragrance or essential oil of your choice, continuously stirring the wax with your whisk to bond the fragrance and continue to cool for pouring. The fragrances I chose for my candles were:

Rose Gold: Candle Fragrance Oils
Rose Fragrance - 15 drops
Vanilla Fragrance - 5-10 drops

Silver Sage: Essential Oils Set
Cedar Essential Oil - 10 drops
Peppermint Essential Oil - 5 drops
Lemon Essential Oil - 5 drops

I used to think that you had to soak your wooden wicks in melted wax prior to candle making, but from new research that is not the case, though with soy wax you may want to add a drop or two of fragrance oil to your wicks for easier burning! Taking a wooden wick secured in its iron stand, dip the stand end into the melted wax and place into the candle jar, using the wax to seal it to the bottom of the jar. Once the wicks are dry, use your candle pourer to fill your candles just below the lip of the jar, reserving any extra wax to finish the candle. Now let the candle cool completely.

5. Once the candle is cooled, check the top to see if there are any divots or imperfections in the top of the candle, which can happen during cooling. If needed, remelt the remaining wax to 120 F and “top off” any imperfections on the top of the candle, again allowing it to cool completely. Trim the wooden wick with nail clippers, cuticle cutters, or small scissors and you’re done!

Toy Box Baby Bento Gift Box

When I was shopping for my sister’s first baby, I knew I wanted to include some baby toys along with the more practical items, because all babies need adorable toys! Not having children of my own and never having bought or thought of baby toys, I did some research on Pinterest to see what was actually used by babies most often, then ordered and packed them all in a pretty Toy Box Baby Toy Bento!

This Toy Box Bento is packed with a Baby Mirror, Crinkle Books, Teether and Stroller Toy,  the perfect baby toy assortment a new mother needs! For these and other Baby Gift Box Bentos, I used a 10 inch square box to house our gifts and it all just fit inside the box, so you may want to get a slightly larger box so that everything is a little less snug, especially the baby mirror I picked!

These boxes are also great as mailable presents for if you cannot visit your mama to be but still want to send a personal and thoughtful gift. Regardless of if you are mailing or giving in person, I encourage you to stuff the top of your box with tissue paper so that items don’t move around while shipping or wrapping, plus it makes it a fun presentation removing the tissue paper to a lovely organized baby gift!

1. Start by placing your baby mirror in the bottom of the gift box, as shown in the photos. Mine just fit and was a little snug, so you may want a slightly bigger gift box, but I love the look of a box bursting with toys!

2. Next, take your crinkle books in a stack and arrange them along the bottom edge of the gift box, overlapping each other but forming an even layer.

3. Now, add the stroller toy to the upper right corner of the box. Keeping the spiral together with your hand and the toy animals loose, tuck the spiral into the upper corner of the box, then tuck in each animal between the books and the spiral so that their heads are all facing up and their bodies are secured in the box, as shown in the photos.

4. Finally, finish your bento with the teether toy. Fanning the teeter bits in your hand, tuck the loop into the bottom and arrange them in the upper left of the box. Now your toy box is perfectly packed and brimming with all the essential baby toys for the newest little one you are celebrating!

Sock and Onesie Baby Bento Block

Baby wardrobe staples are always appreciated by expectant mothers, as well as being so fun to pick out and gift! This Sock and Onesie Baby Bento Block is the perfect petite gift for baby wardrobe staples, with cute little rolled up baby socks and homemade onesies!

This bento is made with a Baby Sock 12 Pack and paired them with my two favorite punny onesies, the Naptorious KID and Everyday I’m Cuddlin’ Onesies. While there are certainly many adorable onesies out there to buy, I love making them myself I would highly encourage you to make them too! You can see all our Baby Onesie Projects Here.

Whether you had fun buying lots of themed baby clothes yourself or have some beloved hand me downs to give to a new baby in the family, I love packing them in little cube boxes! These petite boxes can fit several small clothing items each and always remind me of baby blocks, so easy to pack with wardrobe staples and decorate for a baby shower gift!

Supplies:

- Baby Onesies x2: DIY or Bought
- Baby Socks 12 pk
- 4 in Square Box

1. First, we will create the layers of patterned socks in the bottom of the bento block. Start with a single pair of socks. Fold in the heel, and then fold the top of the sock over it as shown in the photos. Then, roll the pair of socks into a small cylinder.

2. Continue folding and rolling socks until you have a set of three. Gathering your sock cylinders in a line, with the pretty side of the rolls facing up, place them in the bottom of your box along the top edge. Repeat this process three more times, making two layers of 6 pairs of socks.

3. Now we can fold the onesies to go on top of the socks. Starting with your onesie face down, fold over the top such that the top of the design is just under the fold, then, fold in both sides of the onesie, overlapping the sleeves to create an almost rectangular packet that is the same width as the gift box.

4. Next, fold the bottom on the onesie up to meet the top, aligning the bottom edge of the onesie just under the top edge of the neckline, as shown in the photos. Fold the bottom of the onesie over to the top edge of the packet, forming a square that displays the front design of the onesie when turned over. Repeat this process with your second onesie to create two packets.

5. Finish the bento block by placing your onesie packets, face up, on top of the sock layer. Now you have a perfect petite gift box to shower your favorite mama with, all while proudly displaying some cute onesie designs for their new baby!

Bottle, Brush, and Binkie Feeding Bento Gift Box

Inspired by my Bibs, Burp Cloths, and Bib Bento Gift Box, I wanted to find a fun way to present other baby feeding necessities that weren’t quite as colorful as the bibs and burp cloths. So to finish out our feeding themed Baby Bentos, nothing like finding a fun way to gift bottles, brushes, and binkies than this Bottle and Binky Bento Gift Box! This bento is perfect for equipping your new mother for feeding time; from cleaning bottles afterwards to soothing a fussy hungry baby with a binky.

For this bento, I used the 9 oz. Avent Baby Bottle 4 Pack, Cleaning Brush, and Binkie Set with some extra Size 1 Diapers layered beneath for extra height and padding in the bottom of the box. It's a great use for a couple extra diapers after making diaper cakes, plus I like that even the stuffing of the bento is useful for baby! I absolutely adore the Avent Baby Bottle Sets in general and have given them as baby shower gifts several times. All the mothers I have gifted them to or even mentioned them to love these bottles and find them very useful for switching between breastfeeding and bottle feeding.

For these and other Baby Gift Box Bentos, I used a 10 inch square box to house our gifts and it was the perfect size for this Feeding Time Bento! These boxes are also great as mailable presents for if you cannot visit your mama to be but still want to send a personal and thoughtful gift. Regardless of if you are mailing or giving in person, I encourage you to stuff the top of your box with tissue paper so that items don’t move around while shipping or wrapping, plus it makes it a fun presentation removing the tissue paper to a lovely organized baby gift!

1. Starting in the upper left corner, layer your diapers to form a padding layer for your bottles, brush and binkies. The bum side of the diaper, as you may imagine, has much more padding than the tops, so I arranged them such that the tops of the diapers were layered under the bums of the last laid diaper, as shown in the photos. After placing my first couple diapers, I filled the box by arranging them counter clockwise in a spiral style pattern, with the bums over the tops of the previous diapers, until the box had about two layers of diapers with a consistent thickness of padding throughout the gift box, about 10 diapers.

2. Next, I placed the bottles in a complementary pattern on top of the diapers. Place the bottles, starting in the lower right, with the bottom of the bottle along the edge of the box with the top pointing to the opposite wall. Place the next bottle in perpendicular to the first, with the bottom still along the edge and the top of the bottle facing the side of your first bottle, as shown in the photos. Repeat this with the other two bottles, to form a baby bottle square frame on top of the diaper layer.

3. Next, tuck the bottle cleaning brush under your bottom right bottle, laying it bristle side up such that it is secured by your top bottles in a diagonal in the middle of the box.

4. Finish your bento by placing your binkie set into the open space on top of your bottle brush and your bento is ready to gift to your favorite soon to be mama!

Breastfeeding Pillow Cover Baby Gift Gable Box

Bottles and bibs are certainly useful for Baby’s Feeding Time, but one of the most useful gifts for any new mother is a Breastfeeding Pillows, Not only are they invaluable as a feeding tool for mothers, saving their arms and giving baby a nice place to rest, but are super fun to bedeck in your favorite patterns to complement your new mother’s nursery. To complement your pillow gift purchase or to give all on its own, this Pillow Cover Gable Bento is an adorable way to present those adorable patterns!

The pillow that my covers are for, that I have given and highly recommend, is the Bobby Breastfeeding Pillow. Honestly I’m not even sure what other ones are out there and every time I’ve given it there are always rave reviews from the mama! Additionally, there are a lot of different Boppy Pillow Covers to choose from on Amazon, both from Boppy themselves and many other shops that make their covers to the same dimensions. In fact, the Palm Leaves Pillow Cover and the Lemon Patterned Pillow Cover both come from an outside shop and both fit the pillow perfectly. This gable box bento is also a great way to gift gently used pillow covers for a thoughtful presentation for your mother to be!

1. Start by folding your pillow cover in half, matching the curved sides to each other as shown in the photos.Bring in the loose side of the cover, right in my case, folding it such that the widest part of the fabric is along the upper edge of the cover. Fold the left side over the right, forming an almost rectangular packet.

2. Fold the packet over width wise once more to form a long almost rectangular packet that is the width of your gable box, as shown below.

3. Starting at the flat end of the rectangle, tightly roll the packet into a cylindrical spiral. Place the cover, loose ends down, into the gable box and repeat the process with the other pillow cover, completing the gable bento.

Burp Cloth Baby Bento Block

One of the most useful and needed baby feeding items are burp cloths, great for cleaning up during and after feedings along with coming in all sorts of adorable patterns and styles! So when I was designing my Feeding Bundle Bento, I wanted to experiment with way to give burp clothes on their own because, while doting on and feeding my friend’s baby, there was nothing I always appreciated and wanted like extra burp clothes! These petite block boxes were the perfect size for folding and displaying these Burp Cloth 4 Packs, and with that these little block bentos came to be!

With a four pack set fitting perfectly into one box, these blocks make an adorable and affordable baby gift! I had two different burp cloth sets, a Blue Whales Nautical set and a Gray Whales Nautical Set, but there are so many pattern and color options these bento blocks can beautifully display any set you choose for your mother to be! This is also a great option for cleverly folding and gifting gently used baby items to give them in a personal and special way, though you will need to make sure to find a piece of ribbon for your final bows in this bento, I used ones that came with the burp cloth sets I purchased.

PART 1: OUTER BURP CLOTH FOLDING

For this Bento Block, the burp cloths are folded in two different ways. All the burp cloths start with the basic set of folding instructions below  to make them long rectangular packets, but this first one will be reserved for wrapping the other three once they are fully folded.

1. Start with your burp cloth unfolded with the tag side facing up. Starting at the outer edges, fold the short edges towards the middle, basing the amount of fabric you fold over to the width of the box you want to use, in my case these were a little under 4 inches. Fold over the right side once more to form a gate fold style rectangular packet.

2.  Finally, fold the left side over the right to create a long rectangle that is the width of your gift box, as shown in the photos. Set this packet aside to wrap the other folded burp cloths in.

PART 2 - INNER BURP CLOTH FOLDING

Now, it’s time to fold the inner burp cloths so that their pretty patterns are easy to display in your gift box. Basically, it's the same folding above but with a couple more steps to make them denser, square packets to be housed in the longer, rectangular one.

1. Like you have done above, fold the burp cloth into a long rectangular packet, starting with the burp cloth unfolded tag side up, and folding over the edges based on the width of your gift box. They should look identical to the first burp cloth you folded.

2. Fold the packet into thirds width wise,as shown in the photos, creating a smaller rectangular packet.

3. Fold the packet width wise once more, to create a uniform almost square packet with the loose ends of the fabric toward the bottom and a pretty patterned folded edge on top. Repeat this for the remaining burp cloths.

PART 3 - BENTO BLOCK ASSEMBLY

Now it's time to put it all together in a cute little gift box!

1. Start by laying out the outer burp cloth on the table, with the ribbon you want to tie it with laying under the burp cloth. Stacking the folded packets together, place them in the center of the long rectangle, with the ends running parallel to the short side as shown in the photos.

2. Gather the outer burp cloth around the three inside packets. Using the ribbon to keep the whole fabric “cube” together, place it inside your gift box, with the loose ends of the outer burp cloth and the ribbons coming out of the sides. Tie the ribbon into a knot and bow, then peel back and tuck in the edges of the outer burp cloth fabric, displaying the patterned packets within. Now your gift block is ready to give to that special mama in your life!

Swaddler Starter Pack Baby Bento Gift Box

During the first couple months of life, while babies are looking adorable in their newborn cloth for pictures, they are more often than not cuddled up in blankets or swaddles, napping and getting used to the new world they are in. Inspired by the Bedding Essentials Baby Bento Gift Box, I wanted to have another simple and elegant bento for baby bedtime supplies, so a mix of modern and traditional swaddle blankets were a great choice! 

This bento contains two Modern Swaddles and a Swaddle Blanket 4 Pack for all of baby’s cozy swaddle needs! While modern swaddles are, from what I hear, far easier for baby wrangling, some mothers adore the old school fabric swaddles you wrap yourself, so this bento has something for everyone. In addition, the traditional swaddle blankets can be used as receiving blankets, stroller covers, or any number of other baby care uses so they will be loved regardless of what style of swaddle your mama-to-be prefers! In addition to the ones I found on Amazon, Carter’s also has several Swaddle 2 Packs if you are looking for other options in those adorable Carter’s baby prints! I’ve bought oodles of cute baby clothing gifts for my family and friends from Carter’s, so I have to include their swaddles too!

For these and other Baby Gift Box Bentos, I used a 10 inch square box to house our gifts and it was the perfect size for this Swaddle Blanket Bento! While this bento could potentially fit in a smaller box, it was pretty full with my best folding and the swaddles themselves folded much more easily than they would in a smaller box.

These boxes are also great as mailable presents for if you cannot visit your mama to be but still want to send a personal and thoughtful gift. Regardless of if you are mailing or giving in person, I encourage you to stuff the top of your box with tissue paper if there is extra room so that items don’t move around while shipping or wrapping, plus it makes it a fun presentation removing the tissue paper to a lovely organized baby gift!

PART 1 - FOLDING SWADDLES

First we will start by folding the swaddles that frame the receiving blankets. I recommend this size swaddle because it's already the width of the box, making folding even easier! If your swaddle is bigger, you will need to fold in the edges to make it the width of your box before starting folding, which may make your swaddles harder to fold with a consistent thickness throughout.

1. Start with your swaddle face up, with the sides of the swaddle folded in as shown. Then, fold out the outer wing to make a more uniform thickness throughout.

2.  Now, take the bottom of the swaddle and fold it over the wing, covering the velcro securing bits and forming a rectangular packet, as shown in the photos.

3. Using the height of the gift box as a guide,start at the bottom of the swaddle and fold it over, with the folded end being slightly lower than the height of your box. Continue folding the swaddle over itself until the entire swaddle is a rolled up rectangular packet that is the height and width of your gift box.

4. Repeat the same folding process with the remaining swaddle. Then, place the swaddles along the top and bottom of the gift box, folded side up. The remaining space will be used as a guide for folding the flannel receiving blankets.

PART 2 - FOLDING RECEIVING BLANKETS

1. Start by folding your large flannel receiving blankets into quarters, creating a smaller square of fabric to continue folding. Using the width of your gift box as a guide, fold in the sides of the blanket to create a long rectangular packet that is the width of the gift box.

2. Turn the packet 90 degrees so the long side runs along the edge of your gift box. Using the width of the open space in the gift box as a guide, fold in both ends of the packet so the loose edges are on top and the folds are the width of the open space, as shown in the photos. Fold the packet over once more, concealing the loose edges and creating a small rectangle that is the width and length of the extra space in your gift box

3. Repeat the process with the remaining blankets, then stack them on top of each other in the middle of your gift box, completing your bento and showing off your favorite pattern on the top!

We’ve featured bentos now for adorable Baby Bathtime Items as well as Bedding and Naptime Essentials, but we have yet to explore the wide world of another favorite baby pastime, eating! While there are all sorts of different feeding items a new baby needs, I think the most fun to gift are patterned bibs and burp clothes, with some great bottles for good measure. Thus, this Feeding Bundle Bento was born,a cute and festive way to showcase these adorable baby necessities!

This Feeding Time themed Bento contains a 4 oz. Baby Bottle 4 Pack, Burp Cloth 4 Pack, and a Bib Bandana 10 Pack for a perfect feeding starter kit for any new parents. As far as bottles are concerned, I can’t say enough good things about the Avent Baby Bottle Set! I’ve bought both the 4 oz. and 9 oz. Bottles, along with the Sterilizer and Brush several times for different friends of mine and each have raved over how well their babies like these bottles, along with them being great for breastfeeding mothers in general as babies easily switch between the nipple design and breast. For this set I used a 4 oz. Avent Bottle 4 Pack, which was the perfect accent to the festive Bib Bandanas and Burp Clothes. I actually had two different 4 packs to choose from as far as burp cloths went, both a Blue Whales and Gray Whales themed. While both sets were nautical and adorable I went with the Blue Whales for this set, but I encourage you to look through both the Burp Cloth and Bib Bandana assortments to personalize this bento with your favorites, there’s too many amazing options to choose from!

For these and other Baby Gift Box Bentos, I used a 10 inch square box to house our gifts and it was the perfect size for this Bento! While there is certainly an extra room for more bibs, I wouldn’t recommend a smaller box as the bottles and burp cloths fit perfectly. PART 1: BOTTLE AND BURP CLOTH FOLDING & PACKING

This bento was easiest to fold and assemble as two sections, left and right. First, the burp cloths and bottles were packed as described below.

1. Start by placing your newborn bottles in a square formation in the upper left corner of your box, as shown in the photos. Using the bottles as a guide, fold your burp cloth in thirds so that it forms a long rectangle that is the width of the bottles. Turn the burp cloth 90 degrees so that the long side runs parallel to your box.

2. Taking the left end of the burp cloth, fold it up so that it is just under the height of the gift box, then fold over and crease. Fold the end over again, using the measured segment as a guide, keeping the fold over as close to the end. Repeat this process until the entire burp cloth is folded up to form a rectangular rolled up packet that is the height of your gift box.

3. Repeat the folding with the remaining burp cloths, then place them in the gift box under the bottles.

PART 2: BIB FOLDING & PLACEMENT

Next, I filled the right side of the bento with a Bandana Bib Multipack, using some extra diapers left behind from some Diaper Cake Projects for padding but you can also use tissue paper or other stuffing to add a little height.

1. Since I wanted a little extra height for the bibs in my bento, I started by making a thin stack of four newborn diapers, as shown in the photos, and used them to fill the right side of the gift box as a padded base. Next, I folded the bibs burrito style, as explained below, packing each bib as I folded it. This will create a total of two layers of bibs, so make sure to save folding your favorite patterns for last so they are the ones that show up on the top!

2. To fold your bibs, start with the bib face down as shown in the photos. Fold the edges of the bib inward, such that the short side of the bib is the width of the remaining space in the gift box.

3. Starting with the top short edge of the bib, fold the end over to create a smooth edge. Similar to how you fold up the burp cloths, roll the bib up so that the edge doesn’t overlap and it forms a burrito shaped packet that is the width of the right side of the gift box.

4. As each bib is folded and rolled up, place it loose end down in the upper right of the gift box, working from top to bottom until there are 5 bibs in an equal layer in the box. Repeat the process for the next 5 bibs, completing the second layer and finishing up your gift box!
