Happy New Year and congratulations to all the new future brides that got engaged over the holiday season! :) What better way than to celebrate and help you get through the wedding planning process than a lovely diy wine glass!

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

I made one in a Champagne Glitter Vinyl and another in a Turquoise Vinyl, but if you are new to weeding small vinyl designs I would recommend not using the glitter vinyl. In addition, its easiest to smooth the design from the middle to the top, then middle to the bottom to deal with the curvature of the glass.

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

1. After downloading the cut files, import them into the Cricut Software. After creating a new project, select Upload Image. Select the file you wish to upload and it will automatically take you to the final upload screen, where you can name the file the select Save.

2. Cut the design(s) in your choice of permanent adhesive vinyl with the Vinyl Setting on your Cricut. The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so to fit another sized glass than the ones we recommend. :)

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

3. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 3" x 3.5". Cut away any excess backing from the vinyl design and smooth transfer tape over the design, aligning it to the top of the text (“this is my”). I also aligned mine so that one set of the 1/2” blocks on the transfer tape were above the text so the it was easy to align on the glass.Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles.

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

4. Remove the transfer tape, making sure that the whole of the design transfers from the vinyl backing to the transfer tape.

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

5. Now, transfer the design to your glass. align the top of the transfer tape to the lip of the glass, as shown below. Smooth down the middle of the transfer tape to about the middle of the design, then smooth the design around the curve of the glass from the middle of the design to the edges. Smooth any air bubbles out of the vinyl, but don’t worry about the crinkling of the transfer tape with the curved surface.

Do it Yourself Wedding Planning Wine Glass #engaged #svgfiles #cricut #wine

6. Remove the transfer tape to leave the design on the glass. Any additional bubbles in the design can now be smoothed out with either your fingers or the smoother tool. The letters are small enough that I only had one to smooth and it did quite easily. :)

And now you have the perfect wine glass to help you or your new favorite bride get through the fun and stress of planning a wedding! :)

DIY Vinyl Cheer Bitches Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #diywedding

More Bachelorette party flasks are here! :) I had so much fun when I first started designing different flasks, I ended up with a whole bunch of different designs that I’ll be publishing every few weeks and will be continuing to design more so there are oodles of options!

DIY Vinyl Cheer Bitches Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #diywedding

For these flasks, weeding is what you need to be careful of as both types of text are more delicate than some of the bolder fonts, but the results are well worth it! Just be patient and you shouldn’t have any difficulties. :)

The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so by BLAH

3. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 3.5" x 5". Cut away any excess backing from the vinyl design and smooth transfer tape over the design, aligning it to the top of the text (i.e. the “Cheers” or “Future”) with 1 -1/2” block above the text, as shown below. Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles. The transfer tape should overlap the backing of the design, so that you can stick the tape to an object with the backing still on the design.

4. Now, transfer the design to your flask. If you are comfortable centering the designs you can remove the tape from the backing and directly place the design on the flask. If not, arrange the design to be centered on the flask before removing the backing, sticking it with the overlapping transfer tape.

5. Once your design is placed to your satisfaction, carefully peel the tape off the backing, transferring the vinyl to the transfer tape while not unsticking it from the flask. Remove the backing then smooth the design onto the flask, once again using the smoother to remove any air bubbles.

DIY Nautical Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #shipfaced #feelingnauti

To go with our Feeling Nauti Tote Bags, I decided to also design a set of flasks along the same theme. After all, what better accessory for a bachelorette beach bag than a matching flask? :)

DIY Nautical Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #shipfaced #feelingnauti

The big thing with these designs is to be careful wedding the bride’s “Shipfaced” flask, the words and outline are easy but the little details in the steering wheel can be a little tougher depending on how comfortable you are weeding vinyl. I didn’t need an extra, but since they don’t take that much vinyl to make I would recommend cutting an extra just in case. :)

DIY Nautical Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #shipfaced #feelingnauti

The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so.

3. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 3.5" x 5". I found that the Cricut transfer tape was easiest for this since its grid lines are in 1/2” segments. Cut away any excess backing from the vinyl design and smooth transfer tape over the design, aligning it along the bottom of the top word (“Feeling” or “Ship”) 1 1/2” from the top of your transfer tape (3 blocks down if you are using Cricut Transfer tape)Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles.

I found it pretty easy to simply lift the design and transfer directly, as shown in teh photos below. Since the designs are not symmetrical, I simply aligned it to the center “block” of the transfer tape then made sure that the top of the transfer tape followed the top of the flask, as shown below.

DIY Nautical Bachelorette Party Flasks #bachelorette #cricutprojects #shipfaced #feelingnauti

6. Remove the transfer taper to leave the design on the flask, then repeat the process for all the additional flasks.

DIY Vinyl Modern Wine Bottle Table Numbers - Free Cut Files! #cricutprojects #diywedding #tablenumbers

We are back for another take on Wine Bottle Table Numbers! I love wine bottle for centerpieces and having the table number on the bottle is a fun detail and a cheap way to make table numbers in general. I’ve made a couple before this and I own that there will likely be more in the future, there are so many possibilities! :)

DIY Vinyl Modern Wine Bottle Table Numbers - Free Cut Files! #cricutprojects #diywedding #tablenumbers

These designs I wanted to look similar to an actual wine bottle label as far as size, with the number cut out, but as it turns out I really liked them either way. By weeding out the numbers or removing the “label” part, you can have just the Table and number in vinyl or you can choose to remove the Text and numbers, making a more label-esque choice. These two choices could easily be alternated between or you can pick your favorite of the two!

Supplies:
Empty Wine Bottles
Permanent Adhesive Vinyl
Transfer Tape
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat

1. First, soak your wine bottles in hot, soapy water to remove the labels and adhesive. I found it easiest to soak them for about 5 minutes, remove what l could, then once the label was completely removed clean up the last bits of adhesive with steel wool. :)

2. After downloading the cut files, import them into the Cricut Software. After creating a new project, select Upload Image. Select the file you wish to upload and it will automatically take you to the final upload screen, where you can name the file the select Save.

3. Cut the design(s) in your choice of permanent adhesive vinyl with the Vinyl Setting on your Cricut. The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so to fit the wine bottles the way you like.

4. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 3.5" x 5". You can weed these table numbers in two ways, either by weeding the numbers and text, leaving a rectangle with the Table number weeded, or by removing the rectangle, leaving the Table number in vinyl.

5. Cut away any excess backing and smooth transfer tape over the design. I aligned the rectangle table number along the gridelines of the transfer tape and for the numbers only style, I aligned the tape along the “T” and top of the number, as shown below. Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles. The transfer tape should overlap the backing of the design, so that you can stick the tape to an object with the backing still on the design.

6. Now, transfer the design to your bottle. If you are comfortable centering the designs you can remove the tape from the backing and directly place the design on the wine bottle. If not, arrange the design to the bottle before removing the backing, sticking it with the overlapping transfer tape.  I aligned mine to the bottom of the wine bottles, as shown in the photos below. I didn’t have much issue transferring the designs directly, but it never hurts to keep on the backing while you arrange it if you are nervous! :)

6. Once your design is placed to your satisfaction, transfer the design to the bottle. If you kept on your backing, carefully peel the tape off the backing, transferring the vinyl to the transfer tape while not unsticking it from the bottle. Remove the backing then smooth the design onto the bottle. If you didn’t use the backing, smooth design onto the bottle, using your fingers to remove air bubbles.

DIY Wreath Wine Bottle Table Numbers #diywedding #cricutprojects #tablenumbers #winebottlecrafts

Wine bottle centerpieces are always a cost effective choice for the wine loving bride with bottles to spare, so I decided to spruce up the table numbers for such a centerpiece with some vinyl decals. They can be put on the bottles beforehand to designate your wedding tables and are a super easy project for your Cricut, literally load, cut, weed and stick.

DIY Wreath Wine Bottle Table Numbers #diywedding #cricutprojects #tablenumbers #winebottlecrafts

While I’ve made Wine Bottle Table numbers before, I couldn’t help thinking of some other design ideas over the last several months and so I decided to return to them and make a couple options so that you can better personalize your wine bottle centerpieces depending on your style. This first set is a fairly simply script set surrounded by a simple vine and leaf “wreath,” perfect for most wedding with natural elements.

DIY Wreath Wine Bottle Table Numbers #diywedding #cricutprojects #tablenumbers #winebottlecrafts

You will notice in the cut file downloads that there are both full sheets for groups of the table numbers and individual table numbers. Both types of files will be the same size of table number when cut so you can use either interchangeably. It is worth noting that, since the circling vine is thin, sometimes weeding these designs require a little care and extra attention. I did not have to redo any, but in case you have a problem, you can easily upload the single table number file to replace any table number casualties.

4. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 4" x 4.5". Cut away any excess backing and smooth transfer tape over the design, aligning it so that “Table” is aligned to the transfer tape grid 2” from the top of the transfer tape (4 blocks down if you are using the Cricut 1/2” transfer tape), as shown below. Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles. The transfer tape should overlap the backing of the design, so that you can stick the tape to an object with the backing still on the design.

5. Now, transfer the design to your bottle. If you are comfortable centering the designs you can remove the tape from the backing and directly place the design on the wine bottle. If not, arrange the design to the bottle before removing the backing, sticking it with the overlapping transfer tape.  I aligned mine without the backing by lining up the bottom of the transfer tape with the bottom of the bottle without much trouble, as shown in the photos below. Smooth design onto the bottle, removing any air bubbles.

How to DIY your own Bridesmaid Wedding Flasks with Free Cut Files! #cricut #diywedding #flasks #bridesmaid

With all the fun I had making the Groomsman Mustache Flasks, I couldn't leave the Bridesmaids out of the shinanigans! These Heart flasks are a simple and understated way to invite your bridesmaids to your wedding party or to use as a bachelorette favor or wedding gift! And of course I included one for the Bride so that all the wedding ladies can celebrate together!

How to DIY your own Bridesmaid Wedding Flasks with Free Cut Files! #cricut #diywedding #flasks #bridesmaid

The only difficult part of this project is to make sure some of the smaller pieces of vinyl don't get removed while weeding the letters from the heart (like the middle of the "e's" and "d's") so take your time on weeding the design and cut a couple extras if you are nervous! :)

How to DIY your own Bridesmaid Wedding Flasks with Free Cut Files! #cricut #diywedding #flasks #bridesmaid

The SVG Files are sized so that they will automatically cut to the size you see in the photos, but if you want to change the size you can do so to fit the flask the way you like.

How to DIY your own Bridesmaid Wedding Flasks with Free Cut Files! #cricut #diywedding #flasks #bridesmaid

3. Once the designs are cut, weed away the extra vinyl and cut a piece of transfer taper to 4" x 3.5". I recommend using a transfer tape with 1/2" gridlines such as the Cricut brand tape as it makes it much easier to precisely transfer to the flasks. Cut away any excess backing and smooth transfer tape over the design, aligning it so that the  middle on the long side of your transfer tape is centered along the middle of the heart, with the bottom of the heart at the bottom of the transfer tape, as shown below. Using the smoother tool, smooth the tape to the vinyl, removing any air bubbles. The transfer tape should overlap the backing of the design, so that you can stick the tape to an object with the backing still on the design.

If not, arrange the design to be centered on the flask before removing the backing, sticking it with the overlapping transfer tape.  I aligned mine such that the middle of each heart was centered on the top cap of the flask and the top of the transfer tape ran along the top edge of the flask, as shown in the photos below.

Whether they are used as Groomsman Proposals, Bachleor Party Favors, or even Groomsman Gifts, giving flasks to Groomsmen is always a fun gift for them to recieve! I remembered a set I saw once on Pinterest that were a collection of mustaches and was determined to make a set for myself!

I absolutely love the way they turned out and all the different styles of mustaches that I designed! Below you can find the cut files for all the different flasks as well a one for the Groom so he isn't left out of the fun! :) Each file can be uploaded individually so you can either have all your groomsmen flasks match with the same 'stache or pick which one you think fits each of your boys best!

DIY Groomsman Humidor #groomsman #bestman #groomsmangifts

I absolutely love the idea of giving humidors as Groomsman Gifts or even as Groomsman Proposals if you have the budget for it! When I was getting married, I ended up hand etching all of my boys' humidors with their names and a mountain range, but vinyl is a far quicker way to create a beautiful gift for all your groom's best guys for your wedding day.

DIY Groomsman Humidor #groomsman #bestman #groomsmangifts

For these groomsman and best man humidors, I went with a simple bow tie design to leave plenty of space for viewing cigars, but if you want to have extra personalization on your humidors, you can add it on the bottom (the font I used is called Antonio).

10. If you aren't comfortable eyeballing the placement of your design, take an extra piece of transfer tape and adhere it to the inside of the humidor glass, starting at the top edge of the lid. Now, all the grid lines will be parallel to the window frame of the humidor,.

11. Slowly remove the tape from the vinyl design, making sure that the design transfers from the vinyl backing to the tape.

DIY Bridesmaid Wine Glasses #bridesmaid #bridesmaidproposal #bridesmaidgift

One of my favorite things to make for bridal parties are themed glasses, whether for DIY Nights, Bachelorette Parties, Bridal Showers, or Getting ready on the big day! I will be posting on how to make your own personalized glasses in a bit, but these are more generic and can be easily used for all wedding events by your girls.

I cut out mine using a Champagne Glitter Vinyl, but there are many options to choose from if it's not quite right for wedding party. Also worth noting, when I designed the cut files I kept the text black on a blank canvas, so on my computer then tend to be on a black background and can't be seen very well, you can right click to either copy the file or save it and it should be black text with a clear background. :)

Supplies:
Stemless Wine Glasses
Permanent Adhesive Vinyl
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Transfer Tape

Maid of Honor Cut File

1. Download the Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor Cut File by clicking the links above, which will open the file into a new tab. right click on the picture and select "Save Picture as".

2. Import the files into the Cricut software. You can do this by going to the software; and, after making a new project, click the "Upload Button." Then Select Upload Image

3. Click "Browse" and select the file you want to cut from your saved files. Once the file is selected, a new screen will appear to choose cut complexity. I generally find the best results on the "Moderately Complex" Setting. Click your setting of choice then click "Continue."

6. Both the "Bridesmaid" and "Maid of Honor" Decals should be on your Project Screen. Size your "Bridesmaid" Image to 4.5" wide and the "Maid of Honor" image to 3" tall to have them be a similar size to the glasses pictured. Then copy and paste additional decals as needed from these resizes ones. Press Continue to go to the Cut Screen.

7. On the Prepare Screen, confirm that your designs are arranged as you would like them on the cutting mat, then press "Continue." You can move any object by dragging and dropping it on the mat. Finally, load your vinyl of choice, select "Vinyl" on your machine, load your craft cutter, then press the Cricut "C" button on the cutter when it blinks.

10. Slowly remove the tape from the vinyl design, making sure that the design transfers from the vinyl backing to the tape.

DIY Bridesmaid Wine Glasses #bridesmaid #bridesmaidproposal

11. Angle your text such that it leaves about an inch around the top of the glass and stick the middle of the design on the wine glass. From the middle of the glass, smooth the design along the curve of the glass from the middle to the edges. The transfer tape won't perfectly lay on the glass due to its curved surface, but the text can be smoothed on without much fuss.

12. Once design has been pressed onto the glass, slowly remove the transfer tape, confirming that the design transfers from the tape to the glass. Repeat with all your remaining glasses.

Ombre Watercolor Wedding Signs

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

These wedding signs may be my favorite thing I’ve made in September for my two brides, and funnily enough they were the thing that was made “in a hurry.” I had finished the other crafts, gotten all my candle holders and decorations together, and my friend/bride asked if I had any ideas for a “Pick a Seat, not a Side” signs.

I considered staining wood and using vinyl for lettering since it was an outdoor wedding, but I only had 3 days before the wedding and wasn’t about to get that done in time. Then I saw my pile of blank canvases (come now we all have one, those darn Michaels sales!) and saw a great opportunity to use them!

I used removable vinyl for the lettering and would highly recommend you doing so if you don’t plan to keep these forever. They held up just fine outside and even when it rained, but the vinyl being removable made it much easier to move the lettering if you don’t position it just right the first time.

When we had first started thinking about her wedding, there were so many ombre details we saw on Pinterest that we loved so I figured, why not ombre these signs? I absolutely love how they came out and, other than making sure my letters were all looking nice, easy to make and only took a couple hours! And by a couple hours, that was half an hour of doing things and a couple hours of letting paint dry.

Supplies:
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Transfer Paper
White Adhesive Vinyl
Purple, Lavender, and White Paint
16” x 20” Canvases
Paint Brush
Bowls for Paint
Pick a Seat Cut File
Not a Side Cut File
You’re Loved by both Cut File
The Groom and Bride Cut File

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

1.     First, mix your different colors of paint. I used a mix of white, lavender, and violet to make 4 different shades. Add a couple tablespoons of water to each bowl to thin the paint, making it only slightly thicker than water so that it acts more like a watercolor.

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

2.     Starting from light to dark, paint ¼ of the canvas light purple. Take the next darkest shade and paint the second quarter of the canvas. Wash the brush and using the lighter shade, brush across the canvas between the two color stripes to blend the colors. Continue in this fashion until the canvases are both painted. Let dry.

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

3.     Do a second coat on each canvas the same way as you painted the first one, making sure to wash your brush between colors. Once completed, wash out brush and from dark to light, brush horizontally across the canvas to smooth any paint lines. Let Dry.

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

4.     Using the Provided cut files, cut the "you're loved.." file to 5 inches tall and the other files to 11.5 inches tall (I made mine 16 inches wide and that made it a lot harder to keep them on the canvas and cut them). I’d recommend the 12” x 24” mat on these to fit them to the larger canvases.

5.     Weed the designs and cover with transfer paper. I prefer grid line transfer paper to help keep all your letters level.

DIY Ombre Wedding Signs #diywedding #ombre

6.     Transfer the designs onto your dry canvases. Press out any air bubbles and remove transfer paper, leaving the design behind.

These could easily be made in different colors to fit most wedding themes and were a fun twist on the traditional signs. Better yet, I already had everything to make them so they were free! :) Would you make these signs for your wedding?

Wine Bottle Table Numbers

Vinyl Wine Bottle Table Numbers #svgfiles #winebottle #diywedding

Both of the weddings I crafted for last month have something in common, wine bottles! An established wedding trend for the DIY Bride is to use painted wine bottles in centerpieces and for other wedding décor. With that in mind, what easier way to make table numbers than to display them on one of the wine bottles!

Supplies:
Painted Wine Bottles
Adhesive Vinyl
Transfer Paper
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Table Numbers 1-6 Cut File
Table Numbers 7-12 Cut File
Table Numbers 13-18 Cut File

1.     Import the Table Number Cut Files into the Cricut Design Software. Size the cut files to 11.5” high and cut out on the vinyl of your choice.

2.     Weed any excess vinyl from design and cover with transfer paper, smoothing the transfer paper so that there are no air bubbles.

Vinyl Wine Bottle Table Numbers #svgfiles #winebottle #diywedding

3.     Once transfer paper is placed, cut out numbers so each Table number is its own rectangle.

transfer number.jpgVinyl Wine Bottle Table Numbers #svgfiles #winebottle #diywedding

4.     Peel Transfer tape with design off of the vinyl backing and place onto the painted wine bottle. Press design onto bottle then remove the tape, leaving the vinyl table number on the bottle. Repeat for the rest of your bottles.

Making wine bottle table numbers is very easy with a craft cutter; in fact it’s basically cut it out and stick it on. I have designed a basic set of table numbers here but you could easily design your own and use the same steps to make customized table numbers!

Frosted Glass Guestbook Sign

Pinterest 1.jpg

So many weddings these days come with the cutest guest books, gone are the days of just a book and pen! My husband and I had people sign the mat of a picture frame, but I’ve seen puzzle pieces, messages in a bottle, and photobooks used as other great guest book alternatives! One thing you should think about with these guest books is to make sure your guests know they are supposed to sign it. With that in mind, I designed this lovely little Guestbook sign for the gold rustic wedding I have been DIYing for.

This is similar to the DIY Wedding Frames I did previously, but with just a little extra detail of the tree with the frosted glass to give a special touch to this sign. Originally I was going to do this with a mirror, but the silvery finish of the mirror and the gold made it look too Christmassy as opposed to wedding. However, if silver is one of your metallics, doing this project with a mirror instead of a frame would look beautiful!

Supplies:
Picture Frame (I used an 8” x 10” picture frame)
Removable Vinyl
White Vinyl
Scrapbook Paper
Frosted Glass Paint
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Sign our Guestbook Cut File

1.    Like the DIY Wedding Frames, trace and cutout the correct size of paper based on your frame and mount in your frame.

Supplies with text.jpg

2.     Cut out your Tree or other design with the Cricut. I found a free piece of clipart for mine. Use removable vinyl and measure your glass to ensure that you make it the right size. Using transfer paper, affix your design onto your frame.

Tree Transfer with text.jpg
Tree ready to paint with text.jpg

3.     Remove the glass from your frame or, if like mine your frame and glass are one piece, cover the frame with painter’s tape. Using your frosted glass paint, cover your picture frame or glass with 2 to 3 coats of paint, waiting between coats for the paint to dry.

painted tree with text.jpg

4.     Once the paint is dry, remove your vinyl tree design. Depending on how think your paint layer is, it is helpful to use the hook tool that comes with the Cricut or a toothpick to lift some of the skinnier branches while not pulling up the paint as well.

Removing Tree with Text.jpg
Tape Removed with text.jpg

5.     Now, cut out the “Sign our Guestbook” Lettering with your craft cutter similar to the DIY Wedding Frames, but size the file based on the height and width of the frame you chose.

6.     Cut out the design, weed the excess vinyl and transfer it to the front of your frame with transfer paper and you are done!

Finished Frame with text.jpg

I love that the frosted glass still shows the tree slab design on the paper and the actual tree design gives a little extra dimension to the whole sign. At the end of mine, I actually painted the frame a more champagne gold to go with the others I had made and it turned out perfect! What other wedding signs would you make for your wedding? :)

Easy DIY Wedding Signs

While Wedding Season really starts in late Spring I seem to have gotten all my wedding DIY fun in this September! Two of my sorority sisters are getting married this month and I have had so much fun making things for their big days!

One of the often overlooked details in wedding decorations are signs, so I have designed two simple ones for the Gift Table and Favor Table in 5 x 7 frames, so that they are easy to pack, look cute, and were super easy to make! This bride is having an upscale rustic wedding in golds, cream and teal, so I incorporated the rustic tree slices in the gold background paper with white lettering to make it easy to read and also give the signs an upscale feel. After all, white writing is far harder to come by than almost any other color with printers; luckily that’s where a craft cutter comes in handy!

The best part of this project is that is it totally customizable to your colors and theme, you simply have to pick the paper, frames, and colors that you want to personalize them for your big day!

Supplies:
Picture Frames of Choice (I got mine from a Walmart a while back)
Scrapbook Paper
White Adhesive Vinyl
Transfer Paper
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Gifts and Cards Cut File
Thank you Sign Cut File

1.     Upload the Cut files into the Cricut Software and cut out on the vinyl color of your choice. I used removable vinyl and would recommend it if you want to use the frames again for a non-wedding purpose. I sized my cut files to be 6” wide.

Supplies with Text.jpg

2.     Cut out the sign lettering on your choice of vinyl. Weed out the excess vinyl. Using grid patterned transfer paper, measure and cut out two 5” x 7” pieces. Cut it out along the grid lines; it will make the vinyl transfer so much easier!

3.     Take the glass out of the frames and arrange the lettering where you would like it on the glass. If needed, you can tape the sides of the vinyl backing to keep it in place but I found it to be uneccesary.

4.     Lining up the Transfer paper to the top left corner of the glass, cover the entire piece of glass with the 5” x 7” transfer paper piece. Using a smoother or your hands, smooth out any air bubbles.

Vinyl Collage 1 with text.jpg

5.     Now, lift the transfer paper and vinyl design off the glass, making sure to not completely remove the transfer paper from the glass; keeping it stuck will keep your letters right where you wanted them! Once the vinyl design is removed from the backing, take the backing off the glass.

6.     Restick the transfer paper to the glass to adhere the lettering. Smooth out any air bubbles, then completely remove the transfer paper, leaving the lettering exactly where you wanted it on the glass.

finished glass with text.jpg

7.     For the background in the frame, trace around the glass of your frames then cut it out with scissors. Place the background paper behind the glass in the frame and you are done!

While I made just the two signs for the Gift Table and Favor Table, you could also easily use this for table numbers, buffet signs, or your guestbook sign! I think I will do these again for my next shower; they are so easy and can be totally customized to whatever theme you want! What would you use these signs for? :)

Bride Tribe Tumblers

If there is one thing I love making for Bridal Parties, it is Tumblers! They are so cute and so useful for getting ready gifts, bachelorette party favors, or even to ask your maids in the first place.

For these tumblers, I was looking for a free dream catcher file for a more unique “Bride Tribe” tumbler, but none of them were suiting my fancy. Then I found this amazing one on Etsy! For a couple bucks it was well worth the price! Better yet, its an SVG file which are super easy to import into the Cricut Craft Cutter software.

For these tumblers and many of the wedding and bridal projects you will see on this blog, having a Cricut is required. I can’t say enough good things about mine, I wish I had had it when I was crafting for my own wedding! It would have saved me hours of work and many of the projects I did would have turned out even better! If you are a crafter, a bride, or even part of the bridal party I would highly recommend one, the one-time purchase will serve you well. :) Not only can you make tumblers like these, but you can also use it for custom cut invitations, iron on clothing, paper crafts, and removable vinyl wall decorations. I could go on and on but needless to say they are awesome!

Supplies:

Gold Adhesive Vinyl
Metallic Teal Adhesive Vinyl
Transfer Paper
Purple Tumblers
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat
Dream Catcher File
Bride File
Bride Tribe File

1.     Download the Dream catcher File and import into the Cricut software. You can do this by going to the software; and, after making a new project, click the upload button. Import the file, the click Continue.

Cricut 1-2

2.    Press save for the file to be uploaded to the software, then click the image under the Upload Tab. Select Insert Images" to insert it into the current project.

Cricut 3-4

3.     Size the dream catcher to 3.25” wide, then remove the unneeded cuts. For this image, ungroup the cuts using the button on the upper right.

Cricut 5

4.     Now, select each of the first 5 cuts and press the red "x" on the image to remove it.

Cricut 6-8

5.     Once the excess cuts are removed, copy and paste the number of dream catchers you need then click the "Make it" Button in the upper right. You can get up to six dream catchers per 12” x 12” sheet of vinyl. Press Continue to got to the cut Screen. On the Cricut itself, set the dial to "Vinyl", load the mat with Gold Vinyl, and press the Cricut button to cut.

Cricut 9-10

6.     Similarly, import the “Bride” and “Bride Tribe” pictures into the software, sizing them to be 2.5” tall. Cut these out in the Metallic Teal Vinyl.

7.     Remove the excess vinyl (known as weeding) until just the images and words you want to transfer are remaining.

8.     Cut away the excess backing around your vinyl designs. Fix them to the vinyl mat based on how you would like them to transfer onto the tumbler. As you can see from mine, I nested the “Bride Tribe” words into the bottom right of the Dream Catcher.

vinyl arrangement

9.     Cover the design with transfer paper. Push out all the air bubbles and press it into the design, such that when you lift the transfer paper the design comes up with it without its backing. I prefer the lined transfer paper as it makes it easier to orient the designs on their final resting places.

transfer paper

10.     Starting at the top of the tumbler, line up and press the transfer paper onto the tumbler, working top left to bottom right. Because it is curved, it will not stay exactly parallel with the top, this is ok! Pres the transfer paper as flat as you can against the tumbler, rubbing the design especially to get out any air bubbles. Lift the transfer paper, leaving the design on the tumbler.

Bride Tribe Tumbler

11.     For the Bride Tumbler, I wanted the letters to overlap the Dream Catcher. So the same steps as above are followed, but you first transfer the dream catcher, then the test as two separate transfers.

Bride Tumbler

Using these basic instructions, you can also design whatever tumbler you like to make your own custom tumblers for you, your bride, or your wedding party (if you are the bride!).

Mean Girls Tumbler Title.jpg

If you’ve ever been on Etsy, there are so many cute and creative tumblers you can get for your bridal party! These tumblers were by far the favorite and most useful item I made for our Mean Girls Bachelorette Party. Since we had it in Las Vegas, we could easily fill them with any drink we wanted from the rooms and take them around with us as we walked the Strip and through all the different hotels and casinos. After the party is long gone, I still use mine all the time for iced coffee for work, so they make an excellent take home favor!

Once again, with a craft cutter this project becomes incredibly simple and can be customized to anything your heart desires! In addition to that, making them yourself will cost you significantly less than ordering them premade. :)

Note: This page may contain affiliate links, meaning that if you click on the link and buy the product, I will receive a small commission. This will not change your cost at all and I only recommend products I use and love!

Supplies:
Pink Tumblers
Silver Glitter Vinyl
White Vinyl
Grid lined Transfer Tape
Craft Cutter and Tool Set
Adhesive Mat

1.     Clean and dry the tumblers.

2.     Design your names: I used Pic Monkey to make both the names and titles for the Tumblers. The name is made with the Lavanderia font and the title was made with the Didact Gothic font. For the Bride I used the title “The Queen Bee” and the Bridesmaids were called “The Plastics” in true Mean Girls fashion. J You can use the design feature in PicMonkey to place text and save as a picture, which I find to be far easier than using the Cricut Design software to make the text as it tends to make the software run slowly.

Note: The Lavanderia Font is only part of PicMonkey Premium, which I use for some of my party designs and photo editing. You can do both monthly or yearly billing for it, and both are very inexpensive! :)

3.     When I made the names and titles, I made all the words the same size and part of the same picture (Names were one picture, titles were another picture). This will help with keeping them all the same size for the cutting phase. Once you have saved your text as pictures, upload them into the Cricut (or other cutter) design software. I made the longest name about 6 inches long. Cut the names out in Silver Glitter Vinyl.

Cameo 3 Bundles by Expressions Vinyl

4.     Next, import the titles into the design software. Using the names as they are sized, size the titles so that they fit nicely under the names (I did this by feel). Once you have your titles sized, delete the name picture and cut the titles out in white vinyl.

5.     After weeding the excess vinyl from the designs, cut the excess backing away from the text as much as possible. Using the sticky mat that goes with your cutter, arrange the white text under the name.

6.     Lay transfer tape over the text, aligning the gridlines under the name so that everything stays straight.

7.     Transfer the vinyl to the tumbler. Having gridline tape is very helpful here as you can use it to make sure that your text is perpendicular to the bottom of the tumbler. Press the vinyl onto the tumbler and remove the tape, and then you’re done!

Yes, that does feel like a lot of steps, but once you get the hang of it it takes no time at all! The big time crunch came in picking a font and designing the names, once I had the vinyl cut the transfer process took maybe 5-10 minutes a tumbler. Leave any questions you have in the comments!
