Happy Pre-Friday Everyone! That joyous time of the week where there is only Friday to the weekend! I made these little beauties a couple weeks ago for the girls night I was throwing and I'm finally getting around to posting the recipe.
I made the alcohol base for the grapes from a white Zinfandel, limoncello, and apple pie moonshine based on an AMAZING apple and pear sangria recipe I had on the Fourth. I've had other frozen wine soaked grape recipes before but many of them are too tart for my taste, but the limoncello sweetened them perfectly. I was a little nervous using the apple pie moonshine as the apple flavor because of how strong it was, but it just added a nice hint of apple and not of alcohol!
Now make yourself some grapes! And enjoy responsibly, these are more alcoholic than your average wine grapes :)
Ingredients:
1 Bottle White Zinfandel (I used $3 Trader Joes Wine, so it doesn't need to be pricey!)
1 Cup Limoncello
1/2 Cup Apple Pie Moonshine (or Apple Juice if you don't have it)
1 Container of Grapes (I think mine was about 2 lb)
1. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
2. Drain grapes and return to bowl. (You can use the excess wine mixture to make some fabulous spritzers by adding it to some tonic water!)
3. Freeze grapes at least 2 hours and enjoy! I didn't roll in sugar like similar recipes, they are sweet enough on their own. :)
